# $MATTER and Rewards

## Rewards

After winning a battle, pilots are given a **random amount of $MATTER** and perhaps the possibility to **mint and acquire a random new item**.

Pilots have **72 hours** to mint rewarded **items**, which after that will be returned to the Interspace Authority (IA).

Rewarded **$MATTER** can be accumulated up to a limit of **10,000** before being minted, and can be minted at anytime.

The **minimum** mint amount is **100** $MATTER.

Rewards can be viewed and minted in the **Profile** interface.

## $MATTER

$MATTER is a scarce resource in the universe which is given only to the most virtuous pilots. The only way to acquire $MATTER is by minting it as a reward after winning battles.

## 🔥 Burning system <a href="#gen-h1-1-00000001" id="gen-h1-1-00000001"></a>

Pilots are able to acquire **items and other in-game assets** converting **$MATTER to Chips that can be used in the** [**Space Bazaar**](https://guide.degens.space/economy/bazaar)**.** Every time they do so, **they need to permanently burn** their $MATTER.
